ABC Rapid Report Policies and Practices
Participation in the ABC Rapid Report program is open to all ABC consumer magazine members whose membership is in good standing. Members under voluntary temporary suspension of service or censur e are not eligible to participate. By participating in the ABC Rapid Report program, publishers agree to the following policies and practices: 1. Participation in ABC Rapid Report is optional for each publication. 2. The information submitted will be top-line data on an issue-by-issue basis. 3. Publishers voluntarily participating in ABC Rapid Report assert that the data entered into the program is their best estimation at the time of entry and is in compliance with existing ABC rules and policies. 4. Publishers that participate in Rapid Report and then elect not to complete the submission of six months worth of data will have a message posted on the ABC Rapid Report summary page: "Publisher el ected not to complete submission for all issues in this period." 5. Each issue posted to ABC Rapid Report includes the "on sale" or distribution date. The program will automatically calculate the number of weeks between the on sale or distribution date and the ori ginal posting date, rounding to the nearest whole number. 6. Publishers may update data for each issue throughout the six-month period without limitation as to the number of updates. However, the report will include a history of changes with all changes com pared to the original submission. Once a publication's Publisher's Statement is released, no additional changes can be made. 7. Each listing will start with the average circulation from the previous corresponding period's Publisher's Statement and the most recently released Publisher's Statement. 8. At the end of the six-month reporting period, the ABC Rapid Report program will automatically calculate a six-month average for each line item. These averages will be compared to the Publisher's Statement average from that same period. 9. The reporting publication's Audit Report will include a reconciliation of any differences between the ABC Rapid Report submissions versus the final audited numbers.
